The achievements of a group of volunteers from Wigan were recognised and celebrated at an awards ceremony 10th October 2007 hosted by Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC). The group, who all volunteer at the Department of Adult Services at Wigan MBC, see their new qualification as a stepping stone to future job opportunities and independent living.
